CLOSING OF THE BONES

Closing of the Bones is a simple yet deeply powerful ceremony that honours the Rite of Passage into motherhood. Held in the comfort of your home, this ceremony offers a sacred pause to be witnessed, supported, and gently gathered back after birth or life transition.

The ceremony lasts approximately 3–4 hours, with ample space for nursing, baby tending, and rest woven in naturally.

The ceremony may include:

  • Herbal bath

  • Intuitive sesame oil massage

  • Mother warming with Chinese moxa

  • Birth integration and reflection

  • Energy work

  • Traditional Closing of the Bones wrapping

This ceremony supports physical, emotional, and energetic integration, offering deep containment and nourishment to the nervous system.

Closing of the Bones is supportive at any stage of life. While traditionally offered postpartum, it can be received one month after birth or many years later, as well as during other significant transitions. It is a meaningful way to honour change, close a chapter, and foster a profound sense of being held.
